Your drink substitutes, your alternatives, your approximations, your stand-ins, your surrogates, your fill-ins. Your non-alcoholic beer, your non-alcoholic wine, your things-that-look-like-alcohol-but-do-not-contain-it (or more than .5% ABV anyway).

We've tried all of these and we are giving them our sign-off.

You might ask, if you are trying not to drink beer or wine, why not just drink something else? We have been known to say that ourselves on occasion - but when a beer or a wine is what you really want, sometimes what you need is the closest thing to it.
