Premium bitters showcasing ingredients of cultural significance in Japan.
These bitters showcase sansho, also called Japanese pepper. These resemble peppercorns, and both the ‘peppercorns’ and leaves can be used culinarily. The flavour and aroma of sansho is citrusy and piney, and they can leave a tingling sensation on the tongue similar to Szechuan peppercorn.
Use these bitters in drinks that incorporate bold flavours, such as cocktails calling for Mezcal or Amaro. (We have some great non-alcoholic spirits that would fit the bill for sure.)
These bitters use Sansho grown in Wakayama.
100ml
NOTE: These cocktail bitters are made using alcohol. Only a few drops are intended to be used per drink. Those wishing to avoid alcohol altogether should not use these bitters. The ABV (alcohol by volume) on these is 27%.
