Something a little larger, though still demure and otherwise 'gongfu-fit', this cream glazed tea cup from Dustin Ryan Yu has a unique curvature akin to an egg. Or perhaps an egg cup, designed to hold an egg. Or perhaps neither, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
We love the subtle depth of this soft and smooth glaze, the gently shifting slope of it's curvature. There is a slight drip of discolouration, but we'd hardly call it a flaw. There's also a slight chip in the foot from before it was fired (otherwise it is perfectly intact). Both features call forward the handmade-edness of the piece, that it's uniformity is not so uniform just as all real things, while remaining themselves, shift and are unstable up close. Perfection.
Dimensions: 3” / 7.5cm tall by 2.25" / 6cm at it's widest.
Capacity: 110ml

Please check the dimensions - the images are cropped to show the pieces best, not to demonstrate scale. Many pieces may be smaller than you think!
Capacity is measured to where you would comfortably fill to, not total volume.
Note on colour - Please note that perception of glazes and colour is totally subjective - it will vary from computer or phone screen to screen, and the pieces themselves also appear different under different light sources. The actual piece may appear different to you IRL. Any colour adjustments to images have been in attempt to present the piece accurately.
