Sibilla water is naturally low in sodium and has a pH of 8.2, so you can drink freely and enjoy ideal hydration. This is a non-carbonated (still, "naturale" water). Clean and refreshing.
The water comes from a spring in the national park of Mount Sibillini in central Italy, near the provinces of Umbria and the Marche, from a spring at 2400 metres elevation.
The unique bottle was designed by the brand's owner himself. He's a quirky guy who believes art and design are important parts of daily life. We tend to agree.
Water & Mythology
There is something about mineral springs which seem to bear a mystical quality to them. How could this life-giving substance just pour forth from the earth? Here's the legend of Queen Sibilla, as told by Sibilla Water's website:
"The Sibillini Mountains owened their name to Queen Sibilla, a mythical prophetess and sorceress who lived during the Roman era (3rd century BC). Early writings about her date back to the Middle Ages, particularly the early 1400s, when tales described her dwelling in a mysterious grotto deep within the mountains.
From this enchanted cave, a magical spring still flows today, its waters said to possess a purity that captivates all who taste it. Legend holds that drinking from the Sibilla Spring imparts a sense of well-being and purity, transforming every sip into a fascinating experience tied to the mystique of the mountain queen.
This ancient lore has shaped our brand, infusing it with a sense of wonder and heritage. The Sibilla Spring remains a symbol of nature’s magic, a source of water that has flowed uninterrupted for centuries, guarded by the towering peaks and lush valleys of the national park."
About the brand
Founded in 2023. Family owned and HQ'ed in Italy. The founder is a funny guy with a wide range of passion projects, who is probably also a millionaire due to his family's history in the bottled water business. They sold their family business and now he can bankroll fun stuff like restaurants designed to showcase Italian tomatoes, night clubs, "amusement parks", revitalizing small towns, and other creative projects - and now, another bottled water company.
He designed the bottle himself, and tapped famous glass innovators O-I (check the bottom of the next glass bottle you're holding - look for the O-I stamp - they made a lot of them); production happening as a partnership with the experimental glass factory in Venice.
The brand invests in reforestation projects in the national park, planting native species, and are using solar power at the production facility.
