Pentire ‘Adrift’ Non-alcoholic Botanical Spirit

Pentire ‘Adrift’ is a bright and fresh non-alc spirit replacement  - something you could use in place of a gin - perfect with just a splash of soda water or tonic.

Hailing from Cornwall on the UK’s rugged southwestern coast, Pentire have chosen to highlight coastal botanicals from their region, which are all distilled to create a subtle, aromatic, herbaceous beverage.

’Adrift’ showcases rock samphire (aka ‘sea asparagus’ in our parts) and headland sage, plus some citrus peel for brightness.

Pentire is produced in a town literally called ‘Rock’, so you can imagine the type of landscape they’re reflecting.

“Pentire Adrift is a compelling, but not overly challenging, clear herbal spirit. It opens with green, vegetal notes—rosemary, moss, and sage—with bright citrus and an alcohol-like bitter sourness. If you don’t like a dry, astringent drink, you might not like Adrift, but we found the tartness quite moreish.”
