‘Meadows’ by Pamplemousse Jus & Dominion Cider

Meadows is an aromatic non-alcoholic wine alternative made from a blend of pinot gris juice and skins and apple juice, which is then infused with foraged botanicals including juniper, rosehips, sumac and sage. A small splash of actual wine adds a level of depth. Botanicals like rosehips contribute colour, texture, and acidity in the absence of alcohol. Lightly carbonated, not too sweet.

Pour this in a wine glass and you have something complex, aromatic, and unique to swirl and sip on all evening that tastes delicious and shows off the ingenuity of 2 great BC beverage makers. 

This drink is diluted to the perfect sweetness level, and has a tiny splash of actual wine added which lends depth to the overall experience. The well extracted pinot gris skins provide the beautiful quince-y colour and ample texture. The final product is 0.5% ABV.

ABOUT THE MAKERS

Pamplemousse Jus is a natural winery in BC’s Okanagan Valley founded by a former restaurant industry legend who’s spent time in some of BC’s best restaurants.

Dominion Cider make some of our favourite BC cider using fruit grown by them as well as source throughout BC’s Okanagan Valley. They are neighbours with Pamplemousse Jus.

They also make a line of sparkling apple juice drinks deftly flavoured with fruit, flowers, and herbs to create drinks made with as much care as their usual cider lineup (coming soon!)
