Luminara Napa Valley Chardonnay

When I say Napa you say Chard!

A bodacious white wine full of character and kissed by American oak. The Napa red blend based on Cab Sauv from Luminara is one of the best non-alc wines we've ever tried, so we had high hopes that this wine would be true to style for the region, while remaining tasteful and balanced. 

Were we ever pleased with what we found in the glass! Among all non-alcoholic white wines we've tried so far, this stands out as uniquely delivering a complex and balanced oak profile. Heck, any oakiness in non-alc wine is hard to come by period, so for this delightful Chardonnay to show not just a typical, buttery Cali oak style, but to have that woodsy depth that to our palate shouts "barrel fermented"? Rare indeed.

One secret about Andrea is that she kinda loves oaky chards, IN MODERATION. One taste and we knew we needed to have this profoundly (but balancedly) oaky white in the stable. (Our other chardonnays are lean bright and fruity - no oak.) A real winner!
