Laughin’ Gnome Pottery - Flared Teacup with Foot

These are mostly small teacups, appropriate for gong fu cha style tea brewing. (Small teaware, many infusions.) Cups range between 45ml (approx 2 ounces) to 70ml in capacity. All cups are unglazed, except for the lip, which makes for a pleasant sipping experience.

Glazes appear differently under LED light compared to daylight - see images for reference.

About Laughin’ Gnome Pottery

Laughin’ Gnome Pottery makes functional pottery pieces out of unglazed, high-fired clay. Like unglazed iron-rich Chinese clay teaware, these pieces can theoretically enhance the tea (or any other beverage) you choose to drink from them! Bitter flavours tend to have softer edges, body tends to feel silky and smooth. It’s pretty unusual to find unglazed clay pieces intended for tea service in North America. Turns out the Gnome has been known to enjoy a cup of pu’er tea now and again ;) 

We met Laughin’ Gnome while on a camping getaway on the Olympic Peninsula, just across the water from where we are.
