Hillfield Haskap Berry Cordial

A luscious, deeply coloured cordial made from estate grown Haskap berries on idyllic Saltspring Island. Hillfield Farms grows, picks and processes the unique, deep purple fruit entirely on their own farm, creating this intense and tangy concentrate for mixing and augmenting drinks and even foods. Splash a little into sparkling water, use in place of grenadine in your favourite cocktail, or even pour it onto ice cream. 

Haskap grows all around the North across Europe, Asia and North America, and actually is native to certain regions of Canada. Well known and loved in Japan, Russia and Northern China for its flavour as well as its health properties, it is increasingly being grown in North America due to it's remarkable cold tolerance. Rich in anthocyanins and citric acid, a concentrated cordial such as this is the ideal way to preserve and enjoy the colour and flavour of this beautiful blue and red fruit.

With only 8 grams of sugar per ounce, 1/2 oz to 1oz is more than enough to make a delicious drink - you could use even less if using as an accent, not a key player.
