Domaine des Grottes 'Antilope'

Antilope is Domain des Grottes’ blanc non-alc offering. If you’re familiar with L’antidote, this offering is quite the contrast - where L’antidote is fruity and fun, Antilope is serious and introspective. Both are some of our favourite alcohol free drinks we’ve tried to date.

Antilope is still, and reads dry - there is pine and lemon verbena on the nose, and a decent lick of woodsy bitterness on the palate. Refreshing but herbacious. 

The drink is 70% infusion of various fresh and dried botanicals (including juniper, lemon verbena, gentian, yarrow, and blackberry leaf), 30% fruit juice (grape, apple, lemon, and passionfruit). 

Sip chilled by the glass in place of wine, pour a splash as a pre-dinner aperitif, or even explore mixing with it - this could really level up a martini (with or without alcohol). 

Domaine des Grottes are Gamay specialists, farming their land biodynamically in the heart of Beaujolais. On the land they're committed to biodiversity, careful use of resources, and growing a host of crops besides grapes - and in the winery they've got a bit of a cheeky experimental spirit.
