Bellwoods ‘Stay Classy’ IPA

A nice 0.5% aromatic IPA from Bellwoods in Toronto.

The grain bill includes barley, wheat, and oats, for body and texture. Hops wise, they’ve gone big on aroma as well as bittering hops (undisclosed which ones), with several dry hop additions to really get those bright citrusy aromas in there. Dry, not too heavy, with a mellow bitterness on the finish.

About Bellwoods Brewery

Founded in 2012 in Toronto, Bellwoods has built a small craft empire in a short span of time. Originally a small brewpub in the heart of the city, brewing (and barrel ageing) now happens at their facility in North York, but they still hold down a couple retail shops in the city. 

Not defined by any one style of beer, Bellwoods is known to play around, but with a healthy stack of barrels in rotation they’re often exploring unique ales and interesting sours. That having been said their beers run the gamut, so you can expect to find a crispy lager (their words) or an aromatic IPA in the mix as well.
