Muri Uzume introduces Muri's latest collaboration with a gastronomic icon. Anne-Sophie Pic is the world’s most decorated female chef, holding 12 Michelin stars in her restaurants across the globe. Together with her Chief Executive Sommelier, Paz Levinson, Muri have created a blend of modern elegance and inspired imagination. After two and a half years of development, during which they visited the primary restaurant Maison Pic numerous times to fine tune the flavours, the team at Muri are so proud to finally release this special bottle.

A dry sparkling rosé, Uzume is fundamentally inspired by the joyously nostalgiccombination of strawberries and cream. Strawberries are fermented in 3 different ways - carbonic maceration, lacto-fermentation, and with a wine yeast - to accentuate their deliciousness. The blend is given its luxurious creaminess from a yoghurt whey.

These playful flavours are afforded more gastronomic depth by the addition of an ice-clarified tomato wine that imbues the blend with a complex savouriness. Further intrigue arrives in the form of vanilla that has been smoked gently over beechwood in Muri's smokery.

Uzume is the perfect blend to toast celebratory occasions as an aperitif. At Maison Pic restaurant in Valence they pair it with an exquisite lobster dish, and it will accompany shellfish beautifully. Sip it with salads and lightly grilled vegetables at your dinner parties. 

Uzume is a sparkling rose from the creative minds at Muri Drinks in Copenhagen, Denmark. Founded in 2020 by Murray Paterson, a UK expat, Muri has become known for pushing the boundaries of non-alcoholic beverages through fermentation, foraging, and culinary blending.
