Proxies
Proxies, a line up of wine-style drinks from Acid League, were some of the first to the 'wine proxy' scene.
What's a wine proxy? It's not de-alcoholised wine - it's a blend of different ingredients built to mimic different flavour profiles we might enjoy while drinking wine.
'Gold Crush' is built to fill the role of a 'Bright & Elegant Bubbly', a from a base of tart unripe grape juice, or verjus, it does just that. Enriched with peach, kiwi and pineapple concentrates, fleshed out with mix of white and oolong teas, and kissed with extracts of pink peppercorn, orange blossom, and fennel, the sum of these parts is a fresh and fun sparkling wine-like experience that is equally at home on the dining table as it is in the park or at a party.
We love how these drinks make use of varied and whole botanical ingredients to forge a complex and unique new category. Year-round there is a pet-nat shaped hole in our hearts, and Gold Crush is just the thing to bring that mix of playfulness and seriousness we're craving.
