The delicate sweetness of fresh raspberries is balanced out by refreshing Ihkapaskwa  —also known as fireweed— giving this soda its revitalizing flavour. Lavender is also added to enhance the floral profile. Fireweed processing for tea shares many commonalities with Camellia Sinensis tea processing, particularly as is done for semi-fermented oolongs. The controlled oxidation of phytochemicals in the leaves creates unique, aromatic notes that in this drink perfectly complement the dry but juicy raspberry flavour.
